Marella dives with Area B in the beachwear segment. The Max Mara Group’s fashion brand has chosen the historic specialized player for the production and distribution of Marella Beachwear, the brand’s first license and the first water and off-water collection that marks Marella’s entry into this specialized distribution segment.
The Padua-based company, already a partner of labels such as Bikkembergs, Palm Angels, and Philipp Plein, “will support the brand with its expertise, production, and distribution capabilities, respecting its identity and positioning”, the brand explains in a statement. The product is scheduled to arrive in stores in April 2027 with international distribution, and will be available online at marella.com, in Marella-branded boutiques, and through wholesale and retail channels.
“The collection interprets Marella’s sophisticated aesthetic in a feminine key, declining the brand’s values of freedom and refinement in a proposal that embodies the perfect balance between confidence, lightness and Italianness. The brand is aimed at women who are confident and free to express themselves, enhancing their uniqueness and natural glow through garments and accessories designed to enhance their strength and sensuality”.
The first Marella collection was born in Reggio Emilia in 1971. Initially conceived to offer a high-quality product at a more affordable price, given its success in the ’80s, the company embarked on an independent journey within the Max Mara Group, becoming an independent company in 1988. Since January 1, 2023, he has been part of Dedimax, the group’s social welfare auxiliary focused on the contemporary sector.
